Yosemite National Park

Our first stop was to see the Yosemite Sugar Pine Railroad Vintage Shay engine number 10.  These were invented in 1880 and was used for logging.  This one no. 10 was built in 1928.
The Museum that was there with the train and gift shop.

Our first look at Yosemite with it's vast mountains and many beautiful waterfalls.
The river, rocks and bridges were spectacular.

      Another waterfall

There were a lot of people there in tents, Hotels ect. with rafting, fishing, hiking and just enjoying the beautiful sites.

Elder Williams on the bridge across the River.  We met an LDS family from Hawaii that had stopped to talk to us.  That was fun to see members there.

This rock was AMAZING.  It looked like it came down from the top of the mountain and I talked this Mother and her child to stand by it so I could take a picture of the difference in size.  They were headed that way anyway.

The falls were gorgeous.  There were so many of them.  The people had told us to go in the Spring so we could see the waterfalls, I'm glad we did.  It was a beautiful day to be in the mountains.  It reminded me of home.

This is Yosemite Falls and is one of the highest waterfalls in the world.  It's divided into the Great Upper Falls, a middle cascade and the Lower Fall.  They were so beautiful.  We had a wonderful P-Day.

More Babies and fun times

Branton and Maya also had a baby on the 11th of May.  A sweet little girl Hazel. This is our 1st Great-Grandchild and Jan's 1st Grandchild.  She's not proud or anything.  She was able to go to Kentucky and help them and love that baby.

A couple of weeks ago our zone was able to go to the Fresno Temple, here is our sister missionaries.  Sister Holtom, Bell, Weston and Tu ahiva. This bottom one is of our zone.  After we were finished we realized there were 3 more that weren't there yet.

This was a 4th Ward picnic and all the kids decorated their bikes and rode in the parade.  We had lots to eat afterward and this was at a park so the kids had a lot of fun playing on the toys.  It was a beautiful evening with lots of fun.

New Babies

Well, this is Ann Marie and her baby Trey, born May 8th, our 29th grandchild.  This is Mark and hers 4th boy, He is so cute as you see.

MAY IN VISALIA

This is the Three Rivers area which is about 40 miles East of Visalia up in the mountains.  It's a good thing we had GPS.  You could hardly see the houses from the road, this one below is zoomed in.  They have trees all around them.  This one even has a swimming pool in the back.  They're  friendly if they see a neighbor as they leave the house but they like it this way.

The Three Rivers Lake is what this is called because 3 rivers flow into it.  They love boating and it's been hot enough to ski and swim.  The water level is way down so they're praying for water.

Another surprise from our 1st Elder that carried our bags up 3 flights of stairs in Ukraine with his beautiful wife Laura and baby boy Max.  Matthew has seen us on all 3 missions now.  He's vacationing after graduating from BYU and in a month he will go to Denver, Co.  He joined the Air Force and will start Medical School.  Laura served a mission in Russia, Matthew in Ukraine but they both speak Russia.  She is an R.N.  They only stayed over night and went with us to Sacrament mt. but we had a great visit.
