Visalia

An Apostle came here one year and said that the Missionaries were set apart from the world and ever since the Missionaries have put a part in their hair to make them different from the world.

This is Elder Driscoll from Aberdeen, Idaho.  He is such a good Missionary.  He is waiting for his visa so he can go to Brazil.  He's been out longer but came here with us.

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!!  Yes, this is Elder Williams making a quilt.  He would cut and tie one side and I cut and tied the other. This was at a Helping Hands day that the whole Stake did.  The quilts were for children that has cancer.  We also went to a park to dust a museum but they were done  when we arrived.
We had a big picnic afterward.

This is only part a the Museum, it had several buildings and one big one which we didn't have time to go through.  The pond, and geese, and duck

This couple is from Cincinnati that we met at the park.  They flew in with their daughter who served here about a year ago and wanted to come back to see everyone.  We found out they are the in-laws of Jason Raymond, Ron and Kathy Raymond's son.  They were so nice and we had a great time talking to them.

Guess which one is the Stake President and which ones are the Zone Leaders.  Elder Smith was the Stake President and this last Conference he was called to be a Seventy so President Howard was called to take his place.  He's never been  even a Bishop but he's doing a great job.  We-l-l-l- it is the one on the left and the other two are our Zone Leaders.
This is a Memorial for Bishop Sanner whose life was taken while serving as Bishop here.  A man came in looking for the Bishop, which he didn't even know him but he was crazy with a gun.  There were some girls in the church also and when he saw the gun he yelled for them to get out and the he was shot and killed.  The 6 other stones represent his 6 sons left behind.  This is a very sacred place behind the church in a court.  His wife spoke to a group not long ago for the first time since it happened.

CALIFORNIA FRESNO MISSION

Well, at least it's not across the ocean.  Here we are at the MTC again.  It was a wonderful experience.

This is our District at the MTC.  One was going to New York, one was going to Chile, Cove Fort, and on the Willy Trek.

This is the Scheffers, the people that we were taking their place.  They are 54 years old

                                                                 This is the vineyards

                                                         Almond tree orchards

Orange grove but at the corner they had this trellis with roses on it.

                                                  Close up of the vineyards

                                                         Not sure what these are.

Our house, it has a two car garage.  The washer and dryer is in it. and below is the garage door that you come out of to get to the red door.  They had carrots planted which are still small and two strawberry plants that I hope I can keep alive.  The big strawberries are coming on and we've already had some, also Kiwi yum.

The Mission put this chair in for my husband which he likes to try out.

The kitchen which is pretty tight for two people at the same time.
