Fashiion and Service

They wear very fashionable things in the city. Mostly boots like the blonde girl in the black jacket. Sometimes capris with their boots and you should see the fur coats may be I can get a shot of those later. When ever two people walk down the street together young, old, or young and old together they hold an arm like these two.

Even in the kitchen they have style, ha ha.
This is an authentic apron that they make. Sister Davis gave this one to me. It looks like I'm really busy but I'm probably just boiling water. We do have to make everything from scratch so I'm learning how to cook all over again. We have found some good places to eat out at also.

Our Service Project at the Park turned out very well. The two branches were represented. Two young men from the States were there to help. They used to be missionaries about 11 years ago. They came home and started up a charity to help orphanages over here. They have been doing it now for 10 years and they have put roofs on the buildings, made it so the children have 3 meals a day, clothes to wear and many more things, they spend 2 weeks over here a year and then have people over here help and our Branch Pres. is one of those that helps over see it.

The one standing by Elder Williams on the back row is one of the men that is helping with the orphanages and also the third one from the left is one. The one by Elder Williams has his wife and baby with him and she is also expecting in June. The other one didn't bring his wife this time. To the far right is a man who is the counselor to Pres. Davis our Mission President, his wife organized this activity and they have 3 small children. click on picture to zoom in

Yes, we always have food. Usually sandwiches with cheese. Their cheese is so-o-o good here. We never have potatoe chips just sandwiches, which I haven't had a good piece of bread yet, it's always dry, and cookies, pop or bottled water.

There were two older men that came by when we were eating and I think asked for some food, they looked like they needed it too and then I saw them walk away without anything. Then I saw the one with the hood on hurrying to catch up to the men, with two sandwiches and cookies in her hand to give to them. I thought that was a very Christ Like thing to do.
